Pristine founders on creating the new concept of Toilet Paper Spray

How Pristine got started

“Our business is cleaning up your business. Sure, it’s not a sexy job, but potty jokes never get old—and creating products that solve real problems while helping the environment feels good!”

We’re Brandon and Jess—first cousins, co-founders, and owners of Pristine.

Jess, a mom of three and self-proclaimed butt-wiping expert, faced two messy problems at once: her newborn’s painful diaper rash that no wipes seemed to solve, and her potty-training son’s “flushable” wipes that caused a massive sewer backup in the yard.

“I needed another option—one without harsh chemicals, safe for plumbing and the planet. I couldn’t find it, but I found thousands of other people struggling with the same issues.”

Meanwhile, Brandon—an adult wet wipe user—was dealing with his own irritation. Out of desperation, he tried the old sink trick: wetting toilet paper and paper towels. (Anyone who’s tried this knows—it just doesn’t work.)

We realized we weren’t alone, and we wanted a better solution.

“We found there was no mainstream alternative to wipes. So we created one!”

Working with chemists and formulators, we developed a toilet paper spray that was effective enough for a grown man and gentle enough for a child. After months of testing, Pristine was born—dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic, and proudly made in the USA.

In 2019, Pristine hit the national stage on ABC’s Shark Tank, where we told five billionaires they’d been wiping wrong all along. Since then, we’ve expanded into body cleansing sprays (a true shower-in-a-bottle), been featured on CNBC and Good Morning America, and become the top-rated Amazon brand for wipe alternatives.

Through it all, we remain hands-on founders who respond personally to every message.

“Is it weird that we’re super proud of our butt cleansing spray? To parents, kids, and adult wet wipe users everywhere—we’ve got your back…side!”
