Our Ingredients

What We Use

Pristine is manufactured in the USA with pure oils and using only natural ingredients, ingredients derived from plants, and other time-tested ingredients that meet the FDA™ GRAS standards, have been reviewed by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review board, score low on the EWG Skin Deep scale, and are permissible by Whole Foods Body Care standards. We strive to use responsible manufacturing processes, and we seek out suppliers who do the same.

Pristine is specially formulated to be gentle enough for sensitive skin and sweet baby bottoms, yet effective enough to cleanse big kid and adult bottoms too!

Pristine is made to cleanse, soothe, and lightly moisturize the skin while also moistening the toilet paper, dry, or cloth wipe so that it gently glides across the skin. To cleanse and soothe, we use witch hazel, universally known as a gentle antiseptic and anti-inflammatory that can alleviate dry, irritated, or inflamed skin. Pure oils, Aloe, and Vitamin E soothe and nourish the skin. Organic Ylang Ylang oil provides a subtle floral scent. Vegetable Glycerin and Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides (fatty acids drawn from coconut and palm oil) serve as an emollient to hydrate skin and lubricate the toilet tissue, dry, or cloth wipe.

To prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and molds, we use a natural broad spectrum preservative system made from sugar cane and corn, along with food-grade Potassium Sorbate.  To ensure that Pristine has that same great feel in every spray, we use a food-grade emulsifier (Polysorbate 80, derived from dehydrated sugar alcohol and a fatty acid found in animal and vegetable fats), which is found in numerous food products from ice cream to wine.

What We Don't Use

While we take pride in each ingredient in our sprays, we are also proud of the ingredients that we do not include in our sprays. Pristine Cleansing Sprays are always CLEAN and CLEAR of SLS/SLES, parabens, dyes, PEGS, 1,4-dioxane, phenoxyethanol, formaldehyde carriers, synthetic fragrances, and many other harsh chemicals.

What We Do To Keep Pristine Clean

We stay up-to-date on the latest scientific data and reports examining the safety of cosmetic ingredients and potential contaminants. We also rely on international standards and trusted organizations that maintain laundry lists of unacceptable ingredients.
